Your first point of contact may well be a phone call to our school secretary, Catherine Gear, to receive a prospectus and possibly to arrange a visit 01306 731 464

Applicants should be of average ability, or above, and have an Assessment from an Educational Psychologist indicating that they have Specific Learning Difficulties/Dyslexia.

The school has regular tours for parents interested in placing their children with us.   Following the tour there is an opportunity to meet the Headmistress and discuss your child’s needs and learn more of how the school would meet them.

If you are interested in a place, we would invite your child to spend at least half a day with us during which time we would assess current attainments to establish what specialist input would be required. This visit gives the child an opportunity to join in one of our specialist classes and get a feel for us!

Following the assessment you will have the opportunity to discuss our findings with the Headmistress and, if appropriate, she will indicate where the pupil is best placed.

Moon Hall Dorking is unable to accept children who have emotional or behavioural problems which might seriously inhibit their progress or disrupt others. We do not have the facilities to help children with severe speech, language or dyspraxic difficulties.

Whilst we welcome all applications, we regret that the nature of the building we occupy means that at present we are unable to make provision for applicants with a severe physical disability such as one requiring the use of a wheelchair.
